Little Down

So lately I have been a little down. I went to a family reunion and I was in charge of taking the family pictures and sadly I feel like I failed because they turned out to be all blurry.... I know what my family is saying as they read this but really this has put a major damper on my mood. I really need to get more practice and I need to stop feeling sorry for myself. Really I should. Well this is the best of the pictures and my bro in law had to actually change some eyes and even a head because I suck!

Meggan! I think the pics look great! You have serious talent - not EVERY picture you take can be jaw-droppingly perfect. :)

Meg,

You are great, there were so many of us, and everyone yelling hurry up, which no one would do to someone they were paying, so you got the bad end. Do you remember the pictures I paid to have taken, yeah that lady sucked big time. Please don't be down, look at it as you have learned something, you can grow from. Staying in a bad feeling will never allow you to progress. None of us were upset, I think it looks great. pretty sure Jake would have had to fix something anyways because hello there were a lot of us. I love you, I wish to have the talent you do. I am not just saying, I would just not respond. I love you so much and am so grateful you came with us, really honestly.

How do you take the perfect picture of 23 people, 11 of them kids? You don't. I love the pictures. What better people to practice with than family. Don't be so hard on yourself. You can only do so much when you have to set timers and run to stand in a picture. I think they turned out well.... how do you take a picture and make sure everyone is looking at the camera when you have to be in the picture? I love the pictures!

Meg,

The pictures are great! I am so excited how they turned out. You did such a good job. Seriously. There were a ton of us. I am totally impressed you got all of the kids to look at the camera at the same time. Stop being so hard on yourself. You weren't using your own camera so you can't help the blurriness. Also you were using a timer. I'm happy that we got one good one. By the way, of course Jack had to fix some of the photos. You know that there would be at least one person not looking at the right place. Some of us can't help it when one sister says something that makes you laugh. Please forgive us and yourself. We all had a good time. Think of that instead of letting the photos get you down.

I seriously love you all. I really wasn't trying to do a poor me and get awesome mood lifting comments but thank you to you all because you guys are always the ones to lift my spirit. And J I really could not believe that none of us really had a big cry yourself to sleep fight. I think that just shows how awesome us girls are. Come on seriously 5 sisters all with husbands and kids and we all pretty much stayed all full of smiles. That has to say something for our family :)

There have been so many times that I have come home feeling totally deflated. DEFLATED! Horrible. Here is my secret, in two parts.

PT ONE: CHALK IT UP TO LEARNING. There have been so many times that I get really frustrated with an idea not translating to the camera, or some client with a terrible unappreciative attitude but I realized after many tears and even more swearing that I just need to tell myself, "I did the best I knew how today".

PT TWO: I don't look at my pics for AT LEAST two days to a week before going through them. Why? Because I want to be surprised with what I see not disappointed that I didn't get things the way I wanted.
